Dear Mr Norman

My name is Floyd Garland and I am a year 10 student at Rongotai College. I am writing to you to ask you to consider fixing up the changing rooms in the gym. This would be good because it would make getting changed more pleasant, more people would do P.E and other schools would look at them in a different way.

One reason we need better changing rooms is that the current ones are too small. At the moment, if there is more than one class getting changed at the same time then people have to get changed outside because it is too cramped otherwise. This is fine on a sunny day but when it’s raining it’s not so nice.  If we had better changing rooms then it would be tolerable getting changed in the changing rooms without being too squished.

People are avoiding doing P.E because they don’t like the changing rooms. If the changing rooms were nicer then people wouldn’t need to avoid them and more people would do P.E and that would solve the problems of lazy people bringing their gear and making excuses not to do P.E.

If we had better changing rooms then it would make our school look better. When visiting schools come here and get changed they might think, “Eww, yuck. These changing rooms are skungy as!” and tag all over them. But if we had nicer changing rooms they might respect us more and give the changing rooms a bit more respect too. I hope you will consider upgrading the gyms changing rooms and giving our school a better image.

Hopefully you will think about fixing up the changing rooms. If we did then more people would do P.E, other schools would respect our changing rooms more, and over all it would just make it more pleasant to get changed.

Regards

Floyd Garland
